Duties of authors

Standards of reporting

The author(s) must be aware that they bear personal responsibility for the submitted manuscript text, its originality, the accuracy of facts cited, quotations, statistical data, proper names, geographical names, and other information, as well as for ensuring that the materials do not contain data that are not subject to open publication. The work must contain sufficient detail and references to allow other researchers to replicate it. Knowingly false, distorted, or falsified statements are equated with unethical conduct and are unacceptable.

Originality and plagiarism

The author(s) must:

  • guarantee that the research results presented in the manuscript constitute entirely original work;
  • provide appropriate references (in accordance with the article formatting requirements) when using fragments of others' works and/or borrowing statements by other authors.

Multiple publications

The author(s) must not publish material describing the same research in more than one article. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one publication simultaneously constitutes unethical behaviour and is impermissible.

Acknowledgement of sources

Authors must cite publications that have influenced the nature of the work presented. Information obtained through private conversations, correspondence, or discussions with third parties must not be used without obtaining explicit written permission from those individuals. All sources must be disclosed.

Authorship of the manuscript

Authorship/co-authorship must be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, planning, or interpretation of the research results. Other persons who have participated in certain aspects of the work must be acknowledged. The author must also guarantee that all co-authors have reviewed the final version of the article, have approved it, and have agreed to its submission for publication. All authors named in the article bear public responsibility for the content of the article.

Hazards

The author must clearly indicate in their manuscript any potential hazards associated with working with chemicals, dangerous procedures, or equipment whose use may lead to unacceptable risks. The author must include in their manuscript a statement that all procedures were carried out in accordance with applicable legislation and official instructions approved by the relevant committee of the institution/organisation where the research was conducted.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest

All authors must disclose in the manuscript any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that could be interpreted as having influenced the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the research presented in the article must be disclosed.

Fundamental errors in published works

If the author(s) identify significant errors or inaccuracies in the submitted manuscript either during the review stage or after its publication, the editorial office of the journal must be notified immediately, and a joint decision must be taken on acknowledging the error and/or correcting it in the shortest possible time.

If the editor or reviewers believe that a published work contains a significant error, the author must immediately correct the document or submit to the editorial office irrefutable evidence of the correctness of the original article.
